The Village Clerk/Street Administrator is responsible for all the day to day operations and departments within the Village of Romeo (refer to the department list on the top menu for separate links to each department and their respective functions.)

Our primary goal is to provide the residents, local organizations, boards and business professionals with courteous, fair and knowledgeable assistance.

Public Act 63 of 2011, introduced the Economic Vitality Incentive Program. In accordance with the financial accountability and transparency requirements set forth in this act, the Village of Romeo has prepared the following documents.

Public Act 51 of 1951, Section 18j, MCL 247.668j compliance requirements for Michigan Department of Transportation, certification for  local transportation employees.



The Village of Romeo, Department of  Public Works, currently has four  (4) full time transportation employees.

The current established wage rates for these employees are as follows:

  • Start of employment                       $17.70/hr
  • After 1 year   of employment            $18.84/hr
  • After 2 years of employment            $20.11/hr
  • After 3 years of employment            $23.01/hr
